Celtic's bid for Durica fails

Slovak defender Jan Durica’s agent has said that Celtic’s bid has been turned down by Russian side Saturn.
Durcia's agent Karel Csonto has confirmed that Celtic made a £3 million (€4 million) bid for the 26-year-old, who Bhoys boss Gordon Strachan wanted as cover at left back and centre half.
Csonto does not believe that the Scottish side will come back with a new offer.
"About three days ago Celtic representatives contacted us and said that they would like to capture Jan Durica. I personally discussed the transfer with Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell," Csonto told SITA.
"The Scottish side has offered Saturn a €4 million bid, which is not an adequate offer.
"The Russians have already turned it down. Personally, at present I don't see his move to Celtic too realistic."
