West Ham have confirmed that Kieron Dyer has suffered a double fracture to his right leg - an injury that is likely to rule him out for the rest of the season.
This is the latest blow to a player who only once in his eight years at Newcastle made over 30 league appearances in a single season.
March 2001: Suffered recurring problem with fractured shin which required surgery
January 2002: Suffered stress fracture on his foot - keeping him out for six weeks.
May 2002: Knee ligament damage against Southampton meant he almost missed the World Cup.
March 2003: Suffers serious hamstring injury.
2004: Missed Uefa Cup semi-final against Marseille through hamstring injury, but managed to stay fit for Euro 2004.
April 2005: Season ended after hamstring injury against Middlesbrough.
July 2005: Withdrawn from ZTS Dubnica game with a hamstring injury.
October 2005: Suffered a recurrence of hamstring injury.
February 2006: Dyer suffered hamstring strain against Southampton in the FA Cup - his first action in six months.
October 2006: Dyer eventually returns to competitive action after lengthy lay-off with hamstring problem. He only played 10 games in 2006.
